In our 42 years of trading we’ve learnt a thing or two about automatic transmissions. We are one of the premier reconditioning and rebuilding specialists in New Zealand, and we  guarantee all our rebuilt or repaired transmissions and gearboxes have followed the same strict processes.

For each type of transmission we have developed a list of “must replace” components to ensure long-life and trouble-free motoring.  Only when a transmission has been through these processes, worn parts replaced, and our quality checks done, are we happy to put our name to it. 

Once fitted back into your vehicle, we place the transmission through a series of performance assessments and test-drives before the vehicle is finally checked and signed off by your specialist technician.

At The Gearbox Factory you can rest assured with our workshop diagnostic team alone having over 20 years of experience with all forms of on-board systems. Because we specialise in all facets of transmission and gearbox analytics, we also have access to the very latest diagnostic equipment not available in general repair shops.
